No photography here. These are flat fractals, mapped onto 3-D, ray-traced spheres with fractal stems. Good thing one of the stems is ajar or the whole thing would tip over.

Since the artist creates his own software for rendering this image, bugs often occur. Rather that fixing all of the bugs, his images features one prominently.
